The Training & Placement Cell at Vivek Group of Colleges facilitates in securing placements for students passing out from the Campus. The T&P Cell is Headed by a well qualified and experienced Placement and Training Officer to assist the students in career guidance and also toliaison with various industrial establishments (both private and public sectors), which conduct campus interviews and select graduate and post-graduate students from all disciplines. The Personality Development Programs and Entrepreneurship Development Programs are being conducted regularly to update and groom the personalities of the students. Students are also encouraged to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

The Placement Cell provides the infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions, tests and interviews. The Office interacts with prominent industries in the country and invites them to visit the campus for holding campus interviews and technology update programs.Guest house accommodation, local hospitality and other infrastructural facilities are provided to the industries to effectively and efficiently conduct campus selection programs. The T&P Cell has broadly categorized the industries in following ways:

  • Manufacturing Industries
  • Software / IT Industries
  • Consultancy Firms
  • Management Organizations
  • Pharmaceutical Industries
  • R & D laboratories etc

Besides core working team, the Placement Office is assisted by a committee comprising of representatives of students from the under-graduate and post-graduate streams.


Industrial Training:

As a part of course-curriculum, it is mandatory for every student to undergoan Industrial Training of duration, as specified by the University, in his / her respective course. Round the year, the T&liaison with various industrial establishments in both private and public sectors, and hence extends full support in making arrangement of training of all such students who could not make their own arrangements of the same.

 

Industrial Tour’s & Tie-up’s:

Vision comes on by the way of exposure. To expose our pre-final and final-year students to the latest technology & trends, in their respective fields of specialization, the T&P Cell has tie-up with many national and multinational companies / institutes of repute and organizes Industrial / Educational trips round the year.The exposure visit will give a value added understanding of the work culture in the countries visited. Along with the global exposure, the widening of thoughts, sharing and learning practices develop. An academically smart student can test the learning in the international market and grasp new management styles after a visit to the corporate culture abroad. A student not only gains hands on experience but develops his/her personality.

There is a lot of familiarization with the international education system with the visit to the universities/corporate and adds on to the understanding of the country culture.  

 

 

The Lacuna:

The most commonly used tools for the selection process is the personal interview. Personality and behavioral traits are very important for leaving remarkable impression and performing well in interviews. Some of the noticed reasons for failure in interviews are:
